Heather Walts

Just Dance Academy is owned and instructed by Heather Walts. Heather began dancing at the age of 2 and has over 7 years of teaching experience in all subjects of dance as well as acting and modeling professionally. As a child, through her teen years, she danced competitively, and has performed throughout the United States .Winning numerous awards in both national and regional levels as well as several choreography awards.

Heather has attended numerous workshops, master classes, conventions, and seminars. choreographed for plays, competitions and pageants. Heather has also trained extensively at both Dance Master’s of America and attended Florida school of the Arts. Heather has trained with well known choreographer’s who have preformed for Martha Gram, Michael Jackson, Lori Ann Gibson, Fosse and many others. Heather is now performing professionally at Busch Garden’s Tampa.  Heather specializes in Tap, Jazz, Modern, Musical Theatre.  Hip Hop, Improvational, Cecchetti and, Vaganova methods.

Heather is currently in her second year of Dance Masters of America for her 4 year degree. With strong moral values and strong emphasis on teamwork, Heather is sure to develop well-rounded future stars! Your children will love her energetic, unique and loving approach to teaching.  Heather truly believes, a passion for the art of dance  will strengthen the body  and open the mind  to increase the academic learning potential .  We believe that dance and related arts only help to inspire life-long learning.

Tone, burn. loose and get lost in the sound of music. I grew up in small town of New Jersey, where I preformed several times @ Carnegie Hall. I specialized in tap, ballet, and jazz. Someday, I would become a Rockette. Well that did not happen and a Flight Attendant became my future occupation. Having batttled breat cancer, I realized how special and precious life can be. ZUMBA is fun, I love teaching. So fullfilling, and rewarding.I have been certified since 2009. Please come join me for a roaring good time!

Mariah fox is proud to be part of the Just Dance Academy team! After training in all Disciplines of dance, voice, acting, and musical theatre Mariah ended her local career with a National title and a passion for the stage.  Mariah Has trained with such greats as Kerry Casserly, Billy Johnstone, Elaine Petricoff and Casey Colgan .  A graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York, Mariah went on to a leading role straight out of school in Grease as “Sandy.” She has also done such shows nationally as “Jekyll and Hyde,”  “Footloose,”  “Pippin,” and danced at Bush Gardens Tampa. She has also had several film, television, and national commercial credits. Her last tour took her around the world  to over 15 countries and brought her back home to Tarpon Springs. After retirement teaching, choreography, and direction became her passion. Teaching Acting, singing, musical theater and Dance at Venue Actors Studio was a highlight, as well as choreographing for such companies as Salerno Theatre and The City Stage Players. Mariah has over 20 years experience in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-hop, musical theatre and most styles of Ballroom. Mariah is excited to share her talent and industry knowledge with the talented students of Just Dance Academy and is very proud to work with such a great teacher, choreographer, and motivator as Ms. Heather Walts.
